IBM Turbonomic ARM

Showing 104

As a consumer of Turbonomic I would like to have a fully deployable version of the OVA that is available on the Red Hat operating system, so that I can comply with enterprise standards as Rocky Linux is not authorized for deployment.

Corporate and Business customers that have standardized on Red Hat Linux Reduces complexity of the systems I will have to support Streamlines processes when using a known and already approved OS

Make regionMap available through target addition page

Today when adding an AWS target, is the customer's SCP policies do not allow access to all regions (which is the case for 75%+ customers), they need to edit the regionMap to specify which regions they support. This has to be done through swagger a...

Call Turbonomic API using SSO/SAML credential/token (not local user)

We can only execute APIs using a local user or Oauth. So, we have 2 problems: a) local user can't be protected like an SSO user (like when using Azure AD for conditional access); b) Oauth authentication in Turbo for APIs makes the Turbonomic an Oa...

Prevent merge policies to be automatically deleted when one scoped member of the policy (host, network, storage, etc) is deleted or removed.

When creating merge policies, if for example, a cluster merge policy contains hostCluster1, hostCluster2 and hostCluster3, and one of those hostCluster is removed from vCenter or from Turbo, the merge police gets automatically deleted, so the cust...

Allow use of VLAN ID for network matching for segmentation

Today, to verify a VM can live on another vCenter, Turbonomic checks the port group name to ensure match and that the same network is available at the destination. This idea is to match on the VLAN ID instead of the port group name string.

Turbonomic should be able to Suspend SQL Managed Instances

Turbonomic has suspend already for VMs and RDS servers. What about SQL MI? The customer would save on compute costs - but of course still have to pay for storage, etc.

Fix consistency of Action Essentials between entity types

Currently other entity types such as RDS and EBS show whether downtime is required or not but EC2 does not provide this warning. Currently the State says "Action can be accepted and executed immediately." which may be misleading to someone not pay...

Create an option for latest gen storage or instance types

Turbonomic could be able to help assist in lifecycle management activities by suggesting only newer (assuming less expensive) hardware types. This avoids having to update hundreds of policies where explicit selections were previously made. Example...
