In the application traces(Analytics->calls in the UI) the query execution time from a DB2 is not getting represented correctly, for example when a query is waiting for a lock this time is not getting reported under query time instead it is getting reported under JVM time.

it was observed that the entire time(execution+lock) was distributed between the query execution and result fetch, so we need an implementation where we can see the query time and a child span for resultset showing the time taken in locking if any...

Add Instana built-in metric for table spaces status (normal or abnormal)

I would like Instana has a built-in metric for table spaces status, the return value represents normal or abnormal. After this built-in metric available, then I can trigger an alert based on this built-in metric. Here is db2 reference about table ...

Infra metrics for IBM DB2warehouse monitoring

We have integrated IBM DB2warehouse production instance with instana and we are able to access the default dashboard with some metrics. We are exploring the available metrics to configure alerts, but unfortunately we don't see the required metrics...

Filtering Snowflake smart alerts by database username or account

We are trying to create smart alerts to get alerts when queries are taking longer than a specific threshold. While creating the alert we are trying to filter by only specific snowflake usernames/account.

Move enable/disable disruptive actions from Policy wide to action type

The option to enable/disable disruptive actions policy-wide is very restrictive. Most downscale actions are disruptive, but most upscale actions can be non-disruptive. In the current implementation, only a group of VM can be marked with this setti...

When creating a volume scaling policy I want to be able to easily select groups for the policies in the same way as the VM policies work.

Currently I have to use a regex expression to include all the groups that the policy applies to. This is highly inconvenient as every time I want to add a new group to the policy I have to construct a new regex expression.

Improve adding groups to "Volumes" and "Database" policies

Currently, when changing the scope of a policy, the new scope overrides the old scope once saved. This only occurs for database policies and volume policies, not virtual machine policies. For example, if i have a policy and the scope is for group ...

Create an Account level policy entity type

When accounts have many different resource entity types, it's very cumbersome to create a generic policy for half a dozen resource types across dozens of accounts. If there was an Account policy type, high-level settings such as Action Generation:...

Add list of Policies to bottom of Volume details page for consistency

When viewing a virtual machine or database server the details page has a list of policies at the bottom of it, so you can see what's applicable. It would be handy to also see this list on volumes.

Track metadata on when a policy was created, modified and by who

Currently there is nowhere in the policy list to see who created it, when it was created, when it was modified or who the culprit is. This type of basic logging would be very useful when you have hundreds of people active in the tool at the same t...
