Empty Lanes should be hidden by default in lists and roadmaps

Every time someone goes into a view or a list, they need to click on the hide empty lanes. Can this be done by default or programmatically?

Global fiscal year, so date range for quarter follows the fiscal year setting. Then forecasting can also show for fiscal year, not calendar year / month.
