Date Range Toggle Month to Quarters in Cloud Total Cost

We often show our Cloud Total Cost reports to Finance and lead engineers throughout the year. We would like to have the option to toggle between either showing Months in the Date Range dropdown in CTC, or Quarters. This way we get the flexibility of showing the costs without having to build out a brand new report with different time periods. I understand you can duplicate a report and have one set to Months and one set to Quarters, but the work and space it'd save within our CTC environment would be very helpful.

    Josh,

    We are not likely going to change the behavior of the Date Range selector in the Apptio Costing solution. However, a report can be setup to easily switch between current period or current quarter. A couple different ways this can be done with a single report:

    1. Use a tab component where Tab 1 = Current Period; Tab 2 = Current Quarter.

    2. For flexible table views, use a Column Picker with Month, and Quarter time periods added. The end user then has the flexibility to see the current period, current quarter, or both in the table.
