Automating zero-value row removal to enhance efficiency & accuracy in forecast & budget plans in ITP

Requesting an enhancement to IT Planning (ITP) to improve efficiency and accuracy by automating the removal of zero-value rows from annual forecast plans and budget plans. The current manual process, conducted twice per year, presents opportunities for enhancement in time management, error reduction, visibility, and system performance – all essential components for ensuring uninterrupted workflow.

We propose the following enhancements:

1. Introduce a built-in functionality within Apptio to automatically find and remove zero-value rows from forecast plans and budget plans.

2. Offer a way to set rules for zero-value row removal, allowing customization based on user-defined criteria.

3. Implement a batch processing feature to efficiently manage large datasets, addressing zero rows for all tabs (Labor, Contracts, Other).
