Connectivity into Apptio via AWS

I know Apptio is standalone application, and it could be possibly hosted anywhere. Now it's hosted on AWS.

I work in large organization, and we are also using AWS, which is trusted partner for us. It makes it much easier from data governance point to have permission to share data within AWS then publishing it first into public internet and then into the Apptio. We would like to establish connectivity using AWS services.

Main objective is avoidance publishing our company data into public internet which requires a lot of justifications. 

Idea is to create S3 bucket on Apptio end to which we could drop data with role given by Apptio. Such Bucket would need to be synchronized with data drop so data link can read data from it. 

The current integration:
[Customers S3 bucket] <-> S3 connector <-> A1  

Requested:
[Customers S3 bucket  <-> Apptio S3 Bucket]  <-> S3 connector <-> A1
