Filter to be included in links

The email function of sending a link (with Global Filters as part of the email link) to a user or sharing a report with a user would increase Apptio usage at a leadership level instead of taking screenshots in PowerPoint. Suggestion: allow filters to be included / captured in links.

    Heather,

Apptio supports emails through two main methods.

    1. Ad Hoc email: Open a report, configure the report as desired, then "send" email to a recipient. In H1 2024, we enhanced the URL return link to include the full context from which the report was sent by the sender. This includes filters, column pickers, tab selection, group by, and specific date period.

    2. Email subscription: In H2 2024, Apptio release an email subscription feature for Report Studio reports. In Q1 '25, we will release the ability to setup the email subscription with a specific view (e.g., includes filters). We will also support a more sophisticated "personalized filtered" email subscription where you would send a report to multiple users filtered for areas they are responsible for. E.g., budget variance report emailed to the cost center owner filtered for their cost center; bill invoice sent to business unit manager filtered for their business unit.
