The new Datalink function in Apptio is missing Functionality that DL Classic had

We are currently migrating all of our automated datalinks from Datalink (Classic) to the newer Datalink feature. In doing so, we found a feature restriction that we had in the legacy datalink that the newer one does not have.

Background:

Setting up an automated schedule to each our our datalink connections is critically important to our operations. Many of our datalinks run on custom schedules. One of these custom schedules runs on about 21+/- runs per month. 252+/- per year.

Currently using Datalink (Classic) we can schedule a full year (or longer) of scheduled runs and forget about it. Each year, we have a task to re-add the schedule for the next year.

With the new Datalink, when setting up a custom schedule, we cannot set up more than 44 scheduled runs.  Which translates to us either (1) manually updating the schedule every 2 months or (2) creating 6 datalinks for this connector to schedule out the full year.

Currently, with the new Datalink module,

When setting up a custom schedule using Datalink, if you schedule more than 44 schedule runs, you are unable to save the Connection Group setting. You run into an error stating "Failed to save connection group configuration'.  We are allowed to save 44 or less scheduled jobs.

With this unique custom schedule, we need to schedule Workday 7 through Workday -1 of a given month and we need the flexibility to schedule out more than 2 months at a time.

Expectations should allow us to at least schedule for a full year with the custom scheduling, and then at a minimum provide detail of why the configuration failed to save. (Due to max number of schedule runs). See steps to reproduce the error.
