Conditional required field in Editable Table

As an administrator configuring editable tables for a use case,

I want to require a column to be mandatory based on the value selected in another column,

So that I can ensure data integrity. 

Example:

Employee Type = Internal or External

·         If Employee Type = Internal,  Column_X data entry is required

·         Else, Column_X data entry is not required

    The request for “conditional mandatory fields” can be supported using ApptioScript with the isRequired function.

     

    Here is a quick example of the code:

     

    If row.EmployeeType = “Internal”

       row.ExampleColumn.isRequired=”true”

    End if

     

    Here is the ApptioScript Structure and ApptioScript examples in our help documentation which covers the isRequired function.
