Add Date Comparison for Calculated Metrics

I currently have some visualizations that use a calculated metric to show our average 30-day cost for popular cloud services like compute, storage, networking, etc. The formula is Cost (Amortized)(last month)÷30. To make this more useful, I'd like to show a simple Last Month comparison to Previous Period. When I do so, I get the error: Error The current query configuration is unsupported. Date comparison is not supported when using calculated metric. Please add this functionality.

    Please check if the following will correct the situation?

    1. Create the Custom Formula Calculated Metric indicating "inherit visualisation date" as the date range.

    2. On the visualisation level select Date Range - monthly view: Date Range "Last Month" and Compare To "Previous Period".

    3. Run the query.
