Ability to set default plan for all cost center owners

Most of the times, we have to close existing plan to make way for reference data updates before creating a new one. Old plan we will archived it with a different name but the problem is when cost center owners login to Apptio planning, they are still directed to the old plan where they will get error message. If we could set the default plan for all cost center owners are much appreaciated. We are getting a lot of complains where users are not able to locate their plan, no access, etc. beacuse they are not familiar with the tool during testing/roll-out phase.

    So glad to see this feature! For sure we will enjoy using it for better managing the active plans and improve the end user experiences.

    In release 5.10, Admins can now tag plans as Active to easily identify and prioritize the most important plans.

    • Mark Active: Tag plans as Active when creating a new plan or from the Plans page.

    • Easier Navigation: Active plans display with an "Active" tag and always appear at the top of the Plan dropdown menu.

    • User Defaults: When logging in, users are defaulted to an Active plan (if multiple exist, the most recent one is selected).

    • Archived Plans: Archived plans cannot be marked Active; if an Active plan is archived, its tag is removed automatically.

    This makes it faster and easier to find and work with the plans that matter most. Learn more: Tag Plans as Active.
