RFE: Customer would like the ability to input comments that is over 1600 characters OR provide a threaded comments at the line item level for their Asset impairment process

Customer needs to keep historical decisions for their Asset Impairment process as the asset goes through yearly impairment of useful life.  The impairment is at the asset level.  The comments serves the propose of tracing the decisions for impairment over time.  Based on the workflow attached example, a threaded comment functionality at the line item level would allow for, the historical tracking of the decisions.
