Improved Variance Analysis in ITP: Exportable and Visualised using Waterfalls

Currently, Variance Analysis is a great function with a limited use case. You can explain variances, but there is no visualisation out of it and it doesn't fit real world use cases.

A use case that could allow me to sell this process to stakeholders, would be if we could do variance analysis in our Month End processes or Budget processes, after which variances are shown at the category level (optionally with drill in to the details of top 5 biggest variances per category). The Variance analysis is a great tool, but the net result should be digestable to a senior stakeholder. It should also be able to be done at a flexible plan-to-plan level.

    Hi Max,

Thanks for the suggestion. We are planning to add a feature that will enable plan-to-plan comparisons as well as custom comparison periods. This will allow you to capture variance commentary for Full Year variance, Remaining Forecast variance, or any other custom period. Feel free to send me a message if you're interested in learning more.
