In TBM Studio, make "Report" ribbon always visible when viewing a report even when not checked out, but enable only select ribbon buttons for read-only inspection of details

As a TBMA (or other authorized user), I want to quickly inspect the following details of a report without being required to check the document out:

  • Master template assigned to the report
  • Report Collection assigned to the report
  • Report's Start Date
  • Whether or not the report is marked "Active"
  • Permissions

Today, I have to check out the document to enable the "Report" ribbon where I can inspect the aforementioned attributes.

I propose making the "Report" ribbon always visible whenever a report is viewed (even if not checked out). The following buttons should be enabled and, when clicked, have the following capabilities when the document is not checked out:

  • Masters button
    • Read-only drop-down list with the assigned Master template highlighted.
  • Assign to Collection button
    • Read-only view of the pop-up with no ability to change the assignment.
  • Start Date button
    • Read-only view of the pop-up with no ability to change the assignment.
  • Active checkbox
    • Grayed out checkbox to indicate it's disabled/read-only state, but show the checkbox as ticked/unticked based on the report's state.
  • Permissions button
    • Read-only view of the pop-up with no ability to change the assignment.
