Modelled Reports

As TBMA a lot of our time is consumed explaining to  our stakeholders via various means- reports, ppt slides, endless meetings, comms, diagrams how cost flows from the bottom of the model ie cost source through all hierarchies to the Service layer.
When our Team came across the Modelled Report functionality we became very excited for a day or two  only to find out that if wehave chosen to use the functionality, in would  significantly slow down both Development  environment and decrease performance.
Unfortunately for the organisation of our size (large and complex) we are not recommended to use Modelled Reports by our Apptio consultant.
Is  Apptio product development team  currently working on improving the performance of the Modelled Reports so large and complex organisations can utilise it as  well?

    We are looking to improve the Model Overview reporting from a UI and performance perspective.  I am working with engineering to understand the performance constraints.  

    How would you use the feature?  Are there specific use cases or capabilities that you want?
