Enable Waterfall Chart Data Export to Excel and CSV

Waterfall charts are commonly used to explain financial, operational, and planning variances by visually presenting the drivers behind movements between two values. While the visualisation provides an effective way to communicate changes, the underlying data cannot currently be exported into a structured format such as Excel or CSV.

At present, the only available export option is PDF, which limits the ability of users to access, analyse, reuse, and govern the underlying variance information contained within the chart.

We are requesting an enhancement that enables Waterfall chart data to be exported to Excel, CSV, or a similar tabular format while maintaining the individual categories, values, explanations, and associated metadata displayed within the visualisation.

Requested Enhancement

Provide one or more of the following capabilities:

• Export Waterfall chart data directly to Excel.
• Export Waterfall chart data to CSV.
• Include Waterfall chart data when exporting an entire report.
• Create a downloadable tabular view of the underlying chart data.
• Provide API access to the underlying Waterfall chart dataset.
• Allow scheduled extraction of Waterfall chart data for integration with downstream reporting solutions.

The exported output should include all data points that contribute to the chart, including positive and negative movements, totals, categories, and any associated commentary or explanatory information displayed within the visualisation.
