Add “Other” Grouping Option in Cloudability Dashboards

Why is it useful?
In Apptio BI, users have the ability to enable or disable the “Other” grouping option when displaying results. This setting allows for cleaner and more accurate data visualization by deciding whether smaller categories should be aggregated under an “Other” label or excluded from the chart entirely.
Currently, Cloudability dashboards do not offer this flexibility. When creating a widget that displays top N results (e.g., Top 10), the system automatically groups remaining data points into an “Other” bucket, which can distort the interpretation of results and create false positives in total value analysis.
Introducing the “Show/Hide Other” option would give users direct control over how data is aggregated, improving analytical accuracy and alignment with reporting needs.

Who would benefit from it?
    •    FinOps and Cost Management Teams that rely on precise visualization of top spenders or top accounts for reporting and trend identification.
    •    Data analysts and finance partners who compare detailed spend categories and need to quantify top contributors without hidden aggregation.
    •    Enterprise customers using both Cloudability and Apptio BI who expect consistent behaviors and analytical experiences across platforms.

How should it work?
    •    Within Cloudability dashboards, add a checkbox or toggle similar to Apptio BI labeled “Include ‘Other’ group”.
    •    When enabled, the widget should behave as it currently does, grouping all remaining values outside the top N into an “Other” bucket.
    •    When disabled, the widget should omit the “Other” category and render only the top N results, ensuring that totals and visual insights reflect exactly the selected data points.
    •    This setting should persist in widget configurations and exports to maintain consistency across shared dashboards and scheduled reports.

Top results by cost cannot be obtained in graphical form

Merged
Hi, Currently ApptioBI has provision of limiting the results by top cost consumption. Eg: top 5 services by cost or top 5 products by cost in graphical form. But cloudability doesn't have this function where we can limit top 5 or 10 resources by c...
