Request to allow unsubscribe from Budget alerts with BudgetsFeatureViewOnlyAccess permission

I checked the behavior of the role with permission BudgetsFeatureViewOnlyAccess and confirmed that:

  • Users with this permission can create/subscribe to Budget alerts
  • However, they cannot edit or delete existing Budget subscriptions

When attempting to delete a subscription, the user receives an error.

This creates an inconsistency:
the permission allows subscription, but does not allow unsubscription.

Expected behavior:

  • Users with the BudgetsFeatureViewOnlyAccess permission should be able to:
  • Subscribe to Budget alerts

Unsubscribe from Budget alerts

Constraints:

  1. We do not want these users to be able to:
  • Delete budgets
    • Modify budget definitions
    • Only the ability to remove themselves from Budget alert subscriptions is required.
