Improvement in the API for Efficient Pagination and Enhanced Data Precision

Currently, we are facing challenges in data extraction via the API due to excessive granularity and technical limitations. The API in JSON format supports pagination; however, the data is too granular, making efficient extraction difficult. On the other hand, the CSV format provides data equivalent to the platform but does not support proper pagination, resulting in very long response times (over 500 seconds) for large volumes of data, making extraction unfeasible.

Additionally, we have identified that the API returns values rounded to only two decimal places, which causes significant discrepancies when processing millions of records daily. This impacts the quality and reliability of the extracted data.

We suggest that the development team consider the possibility of:

1. Implementing efficient pagination in the CSV format or improving the performance of offset pagination in JSON to support large volumes of data without significant degradation in response time.

2. Adjusting the API to allow configuration of numeric value precision, enabling the return of all necessary decimal places to ensure equivalence between the extracted data and the platform data.

3. Considering optimization of calls by removing excessively granular dimensions when possible, to improve performance without losing essential information.

    [Important to consider]

I would like to correct a previous statement that was not clearly mentioned. The main issue with the API is not only the data granularity but also the precision of the numeric values returned. Specifically, the numeric values are rounded to only two decimal places, whereas they should actually have up to five decimal places to accurately reflect the data granularity. This limitation in decimal precision significantly impacts the quality of the extracted data, especially when dealing with large volumes of records.
