Enable threshold-based rightsizing alerts in the UI that automatically notify resource owners based on cost-owner tags.

Currently, Cloudability provides strong visibility into rightsizing recommendations, but there is no native way to proactively notify stakeholders based on defined conditions.

This feature would allow users to:

  • Define thresholds such as savings greater than X percent or value
  • Automatically identify matching rightsizing opportunities
  • Map those opportunities to owners using tags or UGs
  • Trigger notifications directly to those owners via email or other channels

This would be especially useful for FinOps teams and engineering owners who are responsible for cost optimization but may not actively monitor the platform daily.

By enabling this capability in the UI, Cloudability can move from reactive visibility to proactive cost governance, ensuring faster action on savings opportunities, improving accountability through tag-based ownership(probably or user-groups if defined) and reducing reliance on external automation or manual tracking.

    Thanks for the suggestion! We are looking to improve Rightsizing usability this year and this will be something we will take into consideration.
