Integrate AWS S3 Storage Lens metrics into Cloudability

Currently, Storage Lens provides valuable insights into S3 usage, growth trends, data protection, and optimization opportunities, but these metrics are only available within AWS. Having them available in Cloudability would allow us to correlate S3 usage metrics with cost allocation and FinOps reporting in one place.

This integration would help:

  • Improve visibility into S3 usage drivers alongside cost data
  • Identify inefficient storage patterns and optimization opportunities more effectively
  • Reduce manual effort involved in extracting and reconciling Storage Lens data

Ultimately, this would enable stronger governance, better storage optimization decisions, and a single source of truth for S3 cost and usage insights within Cloudability.
