Allow Multiple Users to Subscribe to Budget Alerts

Currently, Budget Alerts in Apptio only allow the alert creator to receive notifications. There is no option to subscribe additional users, distribution lists, teams, or shared mailboxes to the same alert.

This is a major limitation for enterprise budget governance and FinOps operations, where multiple stakeholders typically need visibility into budget thresholds and forecast deviations.

Requested functionality:

  • Allow multiple users to subscribe to the same Budget Alert
  • Support email distribution lists/shared mailboxes
  • Allow administrators or budget owners to manage alert recipients
  • Optionally support role-based subscriptions

Business impact:
Today, alerts depend on a single individual, creating operational risk and reducing collaboration between Finance, Cloud Operations, Engineering, and Management teams. Shared visibility is essential for effective budget monitoring and governance.

This enhancement would significantly improve usability and align Apptio with standard enterprise alerting practices.
