Add native Cisco Webex integration for notifications and collaboration (parity with Slack)

Cloudability currently provides a native Slack integration that allows alerts, cost insights, and reports to be delivered directly into Slack channels, enabling real-time collaboration around cloud costs. Many enterprises, however, standardize on Cisco Webex as their primary collaboration platform. Without a native Webex integration, Cloudability notifications are limited to email or dashboards, which reduces visibility, slows response to anomalies and budget risks, and requires some teams to build and maintain custom Webex bots or middleware using the Webex APIs.

This request is to add Webex as a first-class, configurable destination in Cloudability's integrations/connected applications UI, with functional parity to Slack. This should include:

  • An official "Cloudability for Webex" integration using OAuth 2.0 and standard Webex scopes, managed entirely by Cloudability (no manual token handling by customers)
  • Ability to route specific Cloudability events (e.g., anomalies, budget threshold alerts, savings recommendations, scheduled summaries) into selected Webex spaces.
  • Template-driven message formatting with key context (provider, account, service, cost impact, time window) and a deep link back to the relevant Cloudability view.
  • Admin-level controls and health status indicators for the Webex integration (connected/error/expired) to support governance and troubleshooting.

Business Value (for customer):

  1. Enables FinOps, Finance, and Engineering teams that use Webex to receive Cloudability insights "where they work," increasing adoption of FinOps practices and speeding time from detection to remediation.
  2. Eliminates the need for customer-built Webex bots or custom integrations, reducing operational overhead and integration risk.

Business Value (IBM/Cloudability):

  1. Aligns Cloudability with collaboration stacks used by large, regulated enterprises that prefer Webex, improving competitiveness in RFPs and renewal discussions.
  2. Increases engagement with Cloudability dashboards and recommendations via deep links from Webex, strengthening perceived platform value and supporting cross-sell//upsell across IBM's portfolio

Suggested acceptance criteria (high level):

  • Webex listed as a supported integration option next to Slack, configurable by admins.
  • Successful delivery of key Cloudability event types into Webex spaces with appropriate metadata and links.
  • Visible integration health and error status for platform administrators.
