Recompute Business Mappings After Cost Sharing

Problem

  • Post cost sharing, cost values are distributed, but
  • Business Mappings are not recomputed based on the destination

Instead, the shared cost retains its original business attributes.

Expected Behaviour

Business mapping should be applied after cost sharing is completed, ensuring that:

  • All allocated portions to a destination inherit the same business attribute

Requested Enhancement

Ensure that during cost sharing:

  • Business attributes are re-evaluated and reassigned based on the destination entity, rather than inherited from the source

Example:

  • NAR 123 is mapped to Reporting Unit = XYZ

When costs are distributed via cost sharing (equal or proportional):

  • NAR 123 receives its share of the cost
  • However, the result shows:
    • Part of cost → RU = XYZ
    • Part of cost → RU = ABC

Core Problem

The same NAR 123 ends up with split attribution (XYZ and ABC) for its shared cost, even though a clear mapping exists.

Expected Behaviour

All shared cost attributed to NAR 123 should consistently show RU = XYZ.

Key Gap

During cost sharing, only the cost is distributed, but the business mapping (Reporting Unit) is not recomputed based on the destination, causing residual “ABC” values as per pre-allocation mapping.
