IAM Activity & Access Visibility in Cloudability

Hello Team,

I would like to propose an enhancement to Cloudability to provide visibility into IAM users and roles actively accessing AWS accounts.

Proposal
Introduce reporting that identifies:

  • IAM users and roles with recent access activity

  • Access patterns across accounts

  • Identification of inactive or unused identities

Business value
This capability would significantly improve how we manage our AWS estate by:

  • Enabling better visibility into who is accessing each account

  • Supporting governance and security reviews

  • Helping identify inactive users/roles for cleanup and risk reduction

  • Improving operational control across large multi-account environments

Implementation considerations
I understand this may require:

  • Updates to existing IAM roles/policies deployed by Cloudability

  • Extension of current data collection to include access/activity signals

  • A dedicated reporting section or dataset within the platform

This feature would align well with organizations managing complex AWS landscapes and strengthen Cloudability’s value in governance and operational oversight.

Thank you for considering this enhancement.
