Retain visible columns selection when change date field Grouping options in CFP tables

A current UI annoyance experienced in tables within CFP is where changing the date fields used for grouping, using the Grouping pull out drawer, resets the columns that are shown in the table to the full list. This means any prior customisation of which columns are visible gets overridden and needs to be redone.

It would be better if changing the grouping fields did not change the currently shown columns.
