Align the memory utilisation metrics for both Linux and Windows instances

I was advised by the support team that Cloudability uses the "Memory % Committed Bytes In Use" metric to measure memory utilization for Windows instances, whereas the "mem_used_percent" metric is used for Linux instances.

In our AWS environment, the "mem_used_percent" metric has been enabled for both Windows and Linux instances. As a result, Cloudability is unable to capture memory utilization data for Windows instances correctly, leading to missing memory utilization metrics for rightsizing recommendations. Consequently, the rightsizing recommendations generated for Windows instances may not be optimal.

To ensure accurate rightsizing recommendations, it would be beneficial to align the memory utilization metrics in Cloudability by using the appropriate metric for each operating system.

    Thanks for submitting the idea. My understanding is that "Memory % Committed Bytes In Use" is the preferred metric for collecting memory utilization data from Windows Instances while "mem_used_percent" is the preferred metric for linux instances.

    I'll go ahead and add "mem_used_percent" as a secondary memory utilization metric for windows machines to our backlog as this will give customers better recommendations than no utilization data but I can not comment on when that work will be picked up. In the short term, I would recommend collecting "Memory % Committed Bytes In Use" for your windows instances to include memory utilization in our rightszing recommendations.
