  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Allow dashboard widgets to ignore the global date picker

Currently, changing the dashboard’s date picker updates every widget. However, some widgets—such as Monthly Trend and Yearly Trend—need to retain their configured date range to preserve their intended purpose.

Add an option that allows individual widgets to ignore changes made to the global date picker and continue using their originally configured date range.

Acceptance criteria:

Each widget can be configured to follow or ignore the global date picker.

Widgets that ignore it retain their configured date range.

Existing widgets continue following the global date picker by default.
