Enhancement Request: Support Azure List Cost Across All Services

Currently, List Cost for Azure is available only for a limited number of services, primarily Compute and a few services within the Database category. For these services, we are able to calculate Savings = List Cost − Total Cost.

However, for most Azure services, List Cost is not currently supported in Cloudability. As a result, we are unable to calculate and report Savings for those services.

We discussed this limitation with Microsoft, and they confirmed that List Cost is available in the Azure Export File. Therefore, there is no additional action required from Microsoft’s side. I am sharing the Microsoft's feedback on list cost that might be helpful:

1. List Cost in the usage/cost export (CUR)

List cost is already included in the MCA export for all services, not just Compute. Each usage line carries two cost columns:

·       costInBillingCurrency / costInUsd — your effective (negotiated) cost; this matches Cost Management + Billing and the invoice.

·       paygCostInBillingCurrency / paygCostInUsd — the pay-as-you-go (list) cost for that same line.

So no change or feature request is needed — the List Cost field already exists; the ingestion simply needs to read the intended column. It appears blank only where a retail rate doesn’t apply (e.g., Marketplace or certain purchases). Commitment savings per line = paygCostInUsd − costInUsd.

Although List Cost is present in the Azure Export File that we ingest into Cloudability, Cloudability currently does not support or utilize this List Cost data. Our TAM has confirmed that this is a product limitation.

We are therefore submitting this feature request to enable Cloudability to ingest and utilize the available Azure List Cost data across all applicable services.

Supporting List Cost across Azure services would allow customers to calculate Savings consistently and provide more comprehensive cost and savings visibility. This enhancement would likely be valuable to other Cloudability customers facing the same limitation.
