Hi - this functionality was delivered a little while ago to provide the import API. We are now using that API regularly to complete an automation process to import a consistent (small) set of exchange rates.
Background:
Our Cloud cost data arrives in two currencies USD primarily, but some in GBP. We need both sets consolidated for reporting purposes. That's the prime driver.
Our group of companies operate across much of the world, but use three currencies mainly - GBP, USD, EUR. We mostly use USD in Cloudability/ApptioBI reporting, but also allow people to switch to the other two if they require.
We have similar currency issues in a few other systems internally. Especially Finance and data analytics. We therefore do have some mechanisms to share/feed standard exchange rates so that things generally align.
The last step to import those rate sets into Cloudability had been manual, but is now automated.
Thank you. Now delivered and working as expected.
Hi David, thanks for the idea.Could you help me understand which feature you might use this in?
