The process required for gaining access to Cloudability for the first time is overly complex, not intuitive and not what one would expect from a SaaS tool from a user perspective.
In order to gain fully-fledged access, including to views permitting data visibility, the system requires a user to do a "first logon", which creates the user in Cloudability based on the relevant assigned CLDY Front Door role. After the user logs on for this first time, however, they are not able to use Cloudability meaningfully because they will not have any data views assigned to them at this stage.
This first logon is depended on for the creation of a separate CLDY specific user record, which is a prerequisite to assigning Views. As such, there needs to be back and forth between the user and the user organisation's CLDY admin team to co-ordinate the assignment of Views after the user's first logon. Only after the CLDY admin team have assigned the views will the user be able to fully access the system with data views granted. This is very cumbersome and prone to drop outs.
Please make this process more streamlined so that a user can be granted access in one action, and logon for the first time with fully provisioned access. I understand there is Entra Group to Views assignment functionality coming soon. However, I'm not sure this is going to cater for scenarios where access is granted to users at a granular, segregated level. It will be more suitable for cases where teams are defined with common access to a set of entities. In cases where individualised access needs to be given to users it would be prohibitive to create all the required Entra groups.
