Add "Week" to Date Range View By date granularity options

Problem:

Currently the dat granularity grouping options when configuring an Apptio BI visualization are none, day, month, quarter, half year, year. Workload can often have weekday vs weekend cyclical patterns and that regular variance can make it harder to detect bigger trends. The next grouping up is month, which can have its own variances due to number of days in the month, and analyzing month to month changes and trends mean you have to wait until a month is complete.


Request:

Add week as a date grouping option. This will provide faster feedback loops for detecting changes over time and help smooth and visualize underlying trends for workloads that have strong but repeated weekday vs weekend usage and cost patterns.
