Merged idea
This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit TARPRO-I-13 Cloudability - select multiple values when creating a filter.

Enable users to filter Cloudy reports by multiple resource IDs simultaneously using an ‘in’ operator, eliminating the need to add each resource ID as a separate filter. Merged

Why it is useful:
Currently, users who want to filter Cloudy reports by several resource IDs must add a separate filter for each ID. This process is time-consuming and cumbersome, especially when dealing with large numbers of resource IDs (e.g., 10, 20, or even 100). Introducing an ‘in’ operator-similar to what is available in Apptio BI-would allow users to select or paste multiple resource IDs at once, dramatically reducing the effort required to perform detailed, multi-resource analysis.
Who would benefit:
    •    Power users and analysts who frequently generate reports involving multiple resources
    •    Finance, operations, and cloud management teams that need to track costs and usage across many resources
    •    Any user managing complex cloud environments with a large number of tracked assets
How it should work:
    •    Add an ‘in’ operator to the resource ID filter in Cloudy reports.
    •    Users can input a list of resource IDs (comma-separated, pasted from a spreadsheet, or selected from a list).
    •    The report will return results matching any of the specified resource IDs in a single filter operation.
    •    The UI should support both manual entry and bulk paste for ease of use.

Last week, Cloudability Dashboards introduced a possibility to use checkboxes when configuring filters, making it easier and faster to add multiple values. The possibility to configure filters by pasting a csv list is still under review.
