Problem: I have several custom metrics defined in my Cost Transparency data set. I would like to be able to show both grand values and trended breakdowns per month for a selected time frame.
Right now when I try to build that summary I get the error "Unsupported operation. Cannot use only custom metrics. Please add a dimension to the query."
There is no way for me to currently build a report that shows the grand total for a custom metric for a selected time frame in the report data picker, nor a way to display how that metric is changing over time by breaking it down by month.
Request: Enable the capability to use Cost Transparency custom metrics in Apptio BI report designs without needed to configure a primary dimension. This is already supported for Cloudablity* data sets, make the same possible for Cost Transparency and custom metrics.
