Grafana plugin: Support dashboard variables in query and metric field

Hello,

I would like to use grafana dashboard variables inside query and metric fields. That way I would have only one dashboard in which I could show metrics for different applications by changing variable in dropdown.

Best regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

Unfortunately after evaluating, we found that the current Grafana plugin will not be able to support template variables, and would need to re-implement the whole Grafana plugin. Re-implementation of the complete Grafana plugin is currently not under consideration.

We are doing an MVP for business partner SIMAC, and they need this functionality to determine the system load of their AIX and Linux systems and group by host or LPAR/VIOS.
