Custom Dashboard Trafficlight widget

We're using the custom dashboards for a while now, and we are missing some customization features like a traffic light Widget.That's why we use Instana Custom Dashboards for simple dashboards and Grafana for dashboards, that need to be more meaningful at first glance.

It would be very helpful for us to have a traffic light Widget (red, yellow, green), just to see if an Application has some errors or bad latency at first sight.

It would be also very helpful, if we could configure the threshold of the colors and maybe a text overwrite too.
Maybe like: red= 200 errors and text "Critical", yellow= 100 errors and text "warning" and so on.

    We have completed our initial designs for a traffic-light Big Number widget and we have begun development. We expect to have a Tech Preview available within Q2.

    We are also interested in traffic light coloring of widgets based on threasholds. For "Big Number" widget, specify a warning and/or critical threshold to change the color.

    Hi,


    We are also interested by the traffic light widget.

    In fact, our goal is to have an overal health indication. It already exists in Instana on the overview pages of Websites, Application Perspectives (column Health).

    At first instance, it would be very useful to be able to use the same in a custom dashboard.

    This dashboard would then be a summary of some Websites, AP's, Infrastructure that is interesting for a specific target audience.

    Hi Manuel,

    we will assess the idea within our teams. For now, did you look at the "Big Number" widget? It provides a view onto a single value at a glance and even can compare to a previous time range, presenting increase/decrease values. Please find the attached screenshot:

    Here, the comparison time range has been set to "Previous Window", so it will adopt to what you choose in the time picker. My example compares the current value of Latency (95th percentile) and Error rate to the previous 10min window. You will notice increase/decrease very quick.

    Let me know if this helps already. I will come back with an assessment on the traffic light widget idea.
