This would be useful because there are certain scenarios where certain types of data can only be categorized by filters by trace level instead of call level. Currently alerts and smart alerts can only be setup to filter by calls and not trace level. This prevents users from being able to receive alerts for specific types of data. Instead an alert must be setup at call level that includes data that would not be appropriate for the alert thresholds we would like, leading to numerous false positives.

Thanks for the call, Nicholas!
As discussed, please try out creating an application perspective that matches the segment of the call trace that you're interested in monitoring and set up a Smart Alert on it.
Thanks Nicholas!
I look forward to meeting you and your colleagues at FIS next week for a deep-dive

Hello Nicholas,
Thank you for submitting the idea on enabling Smart Alerts for Traces.
Did you have a chance to explore the option within Application Smart Alerts to trigger an issue and/or alert when a certain number of traces are impacted?
Cheers
