This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Management, Technology Cost Management, Network Automation and AIOps products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi,
We initially raised the support ticket : TS013396290, where we were asked to raise a feature request for the requirement.
Thankyou for sharing the details on configuration for collecting the http headers.
Since the feature to capture details on request payload is available in AppDynamics can you please look into providing the same for instana.
Hello Rasleen,
Thank you for raising the request.
We can collect the http headers from the Http request, it needs to be configured and the link below has the information about what headers we can collect.
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=cha-configuring-host-agents-by-using-agent-configuration-file#capturing-custom-http-headers
We do not have plans to collect Request Payload in the near future. I will mark the request as "Available" since part of the functionality exists, TIA
Thank you,
Mary
Please refer to - https://docs.appdynamics.com/appd/4.5.x/en/application-monitoring/configure-instrumentation/data-collectors#DataCollectors-PHPHTTPDataCollectorExample
Need capability to view HTTP PARAMS, Call Graph , User data etc. to help in troubleshooting.
This helps to troubleshoot issues without need for applications to log the same. Feature available with competitors.
