RELATED IDEAS

Ability to save & restore, clone Event & Alert configurations or create templates

Use cases: 

- When Events and Alerts are created, users would benefit to have ability to save configuration as a template to use as baseline for other events

- save configuration to be able to revert back to after trying some changes

- as a work around, an event could be created and with name such as 'my-custom-event-template'; but, the single click enable/disable would benefit from having a locking option so that we never enable such event.

    duplication of Smart Alerts exists in the product. Global Smart Alerts are also available for Applications and Synthetic Monitoring, which could be extended to other areas as we build out Smart Alert capabilities for them.
    Providing granual RBAC capabilities for Smart Alerts is also being worked on.


    As such, adding such capabilities to Events and Alerts is not considered at this time.
