The client has 2 major vendors vying for business. IBM was considered legacy which changed due to Instana success. The team favoring IBM want to replace LogicMonitor with Instana and hence requested an enhancement 3 months back. Their aha ticket was supposed to be worked on but has been postponed to Q1 2024. This poses a risk to IBM. The client has to confirm on LogicMonitor renewal this quarter and without this enhancement in place, the Instana expansion deal cannot occur. This has repercussion of endangering 2 other sales namely SevOne and NS1 to say the least. They will be in lookout for NPM and DNS Management software along with API Security software in Q1 2024. If we fail on Instana expansion we could lose to Cisco as the client’s team favoring Cisco have already proposed Acceding Skylight, LogicMonitor, ThousandEyes etc and will takeover. So, summing up we would need this aha ticket namely (https://ideas.ibm.com/search?query=INSTANA-I-1953) to be worked upon this quarter. The SevOne deal was a go for this quarter until this aha ticket got pushed to Q1 2024.
