Hi @Guest — does this custom dashboard functionality suit your needs here? Thanks!
I think this is possible now. Is the attached screenshot an example of what you are looking for? This comes from custom dashboards. The menu that is open is for grouping but of course these labels are also available for filtering.
Hello,
what we want to do is besides standard kubernetes metrics like CPU requests be able to group by kubernetes pod labels (which can be set to customize grouping) e.g. kubernetes.pod.label:serviceversion.
If this can be done already in custom dashboards and also analytics e.g. to evaluate pod restart count, great.
Best Regards, Christian
Hello, can you please provide more details about your use case?
If your Instana tenant unit runs in SaaS or if you have BeeInstana configured for Docker or Kubernetes then it is possible to chart Infrastructure & Platforms metrics.
For example you can chart the Kubernetes Pod CPU Requests metric, see screenshot.
Does this solve your question?
Greetings
JL
sorry, last comment was ment for other AHA-Idea (INSTANA-I-1984)
Please ignore and accept this comment description:
We want to use kubernetes pod metrics like cpu resource_limit, cpu request, cpu limit in analytice or custom dashboard.
in custom dashboard you can choose datasource. Currently there is no selection to access custom metrics e.g. dropwizard metrics (screenshots of application instana ui could be provided if helful)
Can you provide more details of what you are looking for here with label mapping?
