For RabbitMQ in a multi-node environment, Instana message queue metrics are tied to specific nodes, causing issues when message queues are relocated to different nodes due to node failures. This leads to failed updates and no data representation in Instana dashboards, hindering accurate monitoring and reliability of the RabbitMQ setup.
The proposed feature should decouple RabbitMQ queue metrics from specific nodes, enabling Instana to provide independent metrics for queues regardless of their node affiliation. Alternatively, an automated mechanism could be implemented to update metrics whenever a queue with the same name is detected on a different node, ensuring continuous and accurate monitoring.
This feature is useful because it allows for seamless monitoring of RabbitMQ message queues in a multi-node setup, ensuring accurate data representation even when queues are relocated.
