Specify multiple threshold values, to have different during day/night

Our network traffic pattern is similar to a sine-cure. During the day, around 100 000 request and during the night, around 20 000 calls. The reason for this pattern, is simply that our end-users are sleeping during the night thus, a less number of request.

This makes it a headache to set up threshold values since, during the day, the value is to small and during the night, the value is to high.

The adaptive setting would be nice, but the "lowest" value from it, becomes to low. We know that if we get >15 000 request that something is wrong with the service and should never be the threshold. But since the day/night traffic differs, the dynamic can make the threshold 0 in certain cases which makes it worthless.

This behaviour of customer action or network traffic I have seen in many other companies the traffic is not static and could be 5->10x more during peak hours (day-time).

Just to clarify, you would expect to be able to use Adaptive tresholds for this, assuming it offered the right values?
The kind of seasonality you are showing makes me think it should be handled through improvements to the Adaptive thresholds.
