Maintenance windows display a message/note for end users

Hi team,

Customer asked:

When placing a downtime on an entity(application, website, port) within Instana, is it possible to display a message/note in the latter?

Example: For instance, we place a downtime between 13:00 – 18:00 an application named ibmhost1. When a user goes to that application within that timeframe, would it be possible for them to see; it is down with a downtime note?

Currently is not supported. The only way to know that is going to Settings->Maintenance Windows and that's for admins view. Is it possible to mark entities as part of a maintenance (see attached file)?

Thank you

Hi @Guest this idea is still in our backlog. Thanks for submitting this. We think it's a very good idea and want to solve the problem you have raised with this request, but we haven't been able to prioritize this among our other work we're doing in this area. We put this in Future Consideration since we hope to address it within the next 12 months. We'll definitely keep you posted on our progress.
