We need an alternative to the Hashicorp vault

I continue to run into more customers that demand a vault other than Hashicorp as a way to securely store credentials for the configuration.yaml file. Previously, I opened this idea, but it was rejected: https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/INSTANA-I-271

I just spoke with another customer today that uses Cyberark.

I do have another suggestion that would allow us to support securely storing credentials without constantly getting asked to support other vaults. Our older monitoring tools simply used a java keystore and locally encrypted the credentials and stored them with the Agent. Given that Instana always has Java with the Agent, it would be a viable solution that would work for all customers. The disadvantage of this approach is that you can't manage the passwords centrally.
