EUM Crash Reporting - Limit or disable sending crash report

We have currently roughly 10 M app user and want to use crash reporting funtionality.
In this cause we are looking for a way to limit or deact end-user to send crash reporting e.g. by config, to limit overload of network and protect instana backend processing.

    We will not work in this idea in the next 12 months. During thi stime (till we re-evaluate again) the workaround is to use the config.tenant.unit.request.limit.per.minute to limit all the EUM traffic to the tenant unit.

    Hello Dania, we want to have a mechanism to limit crash reports primarily but if it make sense possibly we want both a limit for eum metrics and a limit for crash reports in the app to avoid 'flooding' network and instana backend with messages.
    If your evaluation comes back that sampling in the app would be possible please comment.

    Hello Christian,
    Are you requesting a sampling mechanism? Are you interested into having this mechanism for crashes and not for other beacon types, so it is ok ok to receive 10 M session start but not 10 M crashes?
