hi, this is the release note for the addition of Smart Alerts for Service Level Objectives. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=saas-build-276#smart-alerts-for-service-level-objectives-public-preview which was in r276, rolled out to SaaS around June 25th.

btw. we are on v269 so which version makes SLO alertable?
hi Jeremy, thank you very much for the update. Could you confirm that Public Preview is full production stable, we need to be sure as we want to base alerting set on this and even more important that feature as in our feature request will be continued to GA (as you stated estimately 1H2025).
Closing this Idea as this capability is in the Service Levels public preview, as described.
Hi, Service Levels is a public preview feature (previously known as beta) and was first included in r269. It is available in the Self Hosted Standard Edition, Self Hosted Custom Edition and SaaS.
Hi, you can achieve this using a Service Level Objective, which is in Public Preview. Please see this docs page as a starting point: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=slo-service-level-objectives-public-preview
In case you haven't used this, inside the main Service Levels page, click ADD (lower right), then Add Service Level Objective. Then set up a custom SLO that looks like the one attached. You can then go on to create a Smart Alert based on the SLO. Please let me know if this covers the use case you are looking for.
