Exclude Local FileSystem from monitoring

Currently, there is only option to INCLUDE REMOTE filesystems to be monitored within Instana agent configuration file.

Customer is looking for the option to EXCLUDE LOCAL filesystem from monitoring. They do have some filesystems which are nearly full by default, and they do not want to see "FileSystem Full" events on those filesystems.

Hi Jan, thanks for your idea.

What you describe is already possible with the following Agent configuration. Include the following snippet in the Agent's configuration.yaml and adjust accordingly:

    com.instana.plugin.host:
    filesystems:
    include:
    - '/dev/xvdd'
    - 'tmpfs:/tmp'
    - 'server:/usr/local/pub'
    exclude:
    - '/dev/xvda2'

This is from the documentation here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=technologies-monitoring-host#filesystems

    Best regards
