Mobile App metrics for Grafana plugin

Right now users are not able to get mobile app metrics from the Instana plugin in Grafana. This would be greatly appreciated to add this feature. We would like to be able to display mobile app data in Grafana for our business partners. Filtering on application meta data is the ultimate goal. Adding the ability to support variables would be essential for this feature to be utilized. That way we can see mobile app data and filter on store, Mac address, and device type. These are all meta data in the mobile apps.

    Hello,

    As of version 3.3.8 of Instana grafana plugin, this functionality is delivered. We are currently working on adding the filtering capability similar to the Websites. There are multiple other improvements planned w.r.t Instana Grafana plugin which will be rolled out iteratively untill the end of the year.

    For us the grafana plugin was a potential solution to workaround the case that alerting for mobile apps is not supported by instana itself. Seeing that mobile app support is not given for both solutions makes us feel that mobile app demands are second class citizen in this product.

    Second round was executed, we also consider it as a very important feature, so status is changed from Not Under consideration to Future consideration.

    I understand. However I kindly request a second round to consider the feature because it helps Instana's adoption on enterprises.

    While we agree on extending the capabilities of the Grafa plugin, changes to the plugin is not currently on our short term roadmap.
