Monitor Windows Task Status
We want to be able to check the status of a Windows said windows task
Enabled
Disabled
Running
The alerting scenario would be :
Status of a Said Task (Mandatory)
Status of a Said Task duration (optionnal)
This is were i dont know a task that would run for 5min still runs after 10min
How could Instana do this
I would expect that this is handled the same way the Windows Services are handeld in the com.instana.plugin.host .
I mean a Regex could be use to list the Task that we want metric to be received from the task scheduler
How are we handling it today
We currently have a task that runs a script that check the status of the task and return it in a log file read by otel and sent to instana .
Hi @Guest
Thanks for raising this requirement. Just to clarify, is this requirement specifically about monitoring Windows Task Scheduler tasks?
This is not on the roadmap for the first half of 2025. It will be reevaluated afterward based on shifting priorities.
